With the term auction cars I mean vehicles purchased at a public auction. There are lots of different kinds of auctions where cars can be purchased for example, government auctions, police auctions, private auctions, military surplus auctions, bank auctions of repossessed vehicles and more.
One of the best places you can get good deals on new and used cars, is a government auction. To be more precise, what we're talking about is making good bargains on high quality vehicles, seized in a government raid or for one reason or another have come into the possession of the federal government.
Government auctions are different from bank auctions of repossessed vehicles. Government car auctions consist of vehicles they have seized and want to get rid of so that they won't take up space in government parking facilities. If they can make some money on these vehicles, why shouldn't they?
That's the reason they'll take whatever bid they can get. This is not the case with a bank. Therefore it's likely that you would get a better deal at government auctions than at a bank auction.

Car auctions are held in several cities in all states where car buyers can go and bid on the vehicles. An auction site, however, is not available in any city. But if you have internet access you can still make bids on a government auction. You are even able to mail your sealed bid for a car to the auction.
Government Vehicle Surplus Auctions
There are also other ways to find high quality auction cars, for example at a government surplus auction. Cars sold in such auctions are vehicles owned by the government and used for such a long time that they are ready for renewal. They want to get rid of their old vehicles and replaced by new, therefore they are auctioned. Also at surplus auctions you can get a great bargain if you're looking for a cheap car.
Military Surplus Vehicle Auctions
A special variation of government surplus auctions is the auctioning of military surplus vehicles. Combat vehicles such as thanks and other armed vehicles are not offered, but you can get jeeps and other lower end vehicles at a very nice price.
Where the Great Deals Are Done
As we have seen above, the reason why so many great deals are done at government auctions is that the government does not want to play the role of a business but rather get a few dollars for vehicles they cannot use anymore.
So, why don't you run to the nearest auction and bid on decent auction cars or go online and find a government auction at a price much lower than the car's listed value.
